The DLF IPL Tournament, have gave lot of awards and prizes to all contributor of this grand sports event in world of cricket. It may be the biggest tournament ever in terms of monatrial prize in world of cricket. The Rajasthan Royals Team the cheapest franchise at US$67 million, and they won the the Grand final match of IPL series against Chennai Super Kings.

Rajasthan Royals are the Kings of 2008 IPL DLF Cup

The winner of 2008 Indian Premier League, is the Rajasthan Royals become the Kings of 2008 IPL DLF Cup.


The fairy tail run from the side of Rajasthan Royals at end in a winning result as they won the grand and inaugural 2008 DLF Indian Premier League, by beating Chennai Super Kings in the nail biting Final of IPL tournament, on 1st June 2008, Sunday at Famous Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy, Mumbai. At the last over of the second inning the team of Rajasthan Royals needed only 1 run on the final ball of the match, The Tanvir pulled a short of a length delivery at the side of wide mid-on, and took over 1 run. What a great finish of this Final match and the 2008 IPL tournament.

The Rajasthan Royals needed 164 runs in 20 overs and they were struggling on 42/3 after 7 overs, but the 4th wicket partnership of 65 runs between Yusuf Pathan and Shane Watson set the plateform for the amazing win. the Yusuf Pathan scored 56 runs off 39 balls with 4 sixes and 3 fours . The Murlitharan and Morkel took 2 wickets each for Chennai.

In the first inning the Chennai Super Kings set a smart target of 163 runs in 20 overs by the contribution of Parthive Patel and Raina . Yusuf Pathan took 3 wickets for 22 runs. What a tornament for Yusuf Pathan!

Rajasthan Royals got Rs. 4.8 Crore as Prize money fo winner, while Chennai Super Kings satisfied with Rs. 2.4 Crore for runner up.

IPL 2nd semifinal Live Score - Punjab XI vs Chennai Kings

The Kings XI Punjab are realy overwhelming the favorites for 2nd Semi-Final of IPL series,  (Indian Premier League), against the killer Chennai Super Kings team at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, on 31st May, 2008 Saturday at 8.00 PM IST. The Winner of this match is going to fight the Rajasthan Royals in the grand Final of DLF IPL Tournament on Sunday, 1st June.

The Unpredictable team of Kings XI Punjab were on the 2nd position at IPL DLF Cup, and there bowler and batsman are in good form especially Yuraj Singh, Shaun Marsh, Sreeshanth and Irfan Pathan.
